I planned to review the songs I translated with the teenagers, but they didn't seem motivated today. I remembered my good friend Dr. Adair saying she meets her teenagers where they are so I decided to try it.
Here's what that looked like for me...
We took a ton of selfies but here are the "approved" photos...
Here's a photo with Marie a dedicated servant of the orphanage.

Jalisson and I shared photos from our phones with one another and I now know a portion of his story. The details aren't mine to share so I'm not going to post them, but I will say he's truly a resilient kid.

There was also a group of college volunteers that spoke to the children about the importance of hygiene and demonstrated the proper way to wash their hands.

Today's afternoon activities included another Portuguese language class and we learned how to prepare the Brazilian desert Brigadeiro. Shadi, Sherri and Vini prepared traditional Lebanese, Iranian and Brazilian dishes for dinner. Kimberly represented the Americans by preparing Salsa and purchased some chips. ;)
