My last day at the daycare exceeded my expectations. I planned to take it easy and let the kids complete whichever activities they wanted to.  They all went for the cups and I had to divide them as evenly as I could between Juan Pablo [my fav guy on my left in photo], Zoe and Jonathan since they were fighting for them.  Since Johel arrives after he's done with his school day he was able to work independently [while keeping Juan Pablo from purposely knocking down his cups]. These kids have been labeled as "unable to focus" for long periods of time, disruptive, etc.  The photos below are proof this isn't the case when they're presented with something of interest that's a bit of a challenge.  The Tia said she's never seen them sit still as long as they did while they were "building" with the cups.  They've come a long way since Tuesday...

The support I've received from the staff has been incredible.  They work tirelessly to ensure volunteers have everything they need.  I literally only have to feed, bathe and clothe myself.  I wanted to venture out to San Jose on my own and the staff provided very specific details and directions to help navigate my way thru the bus stations...

I still managed to get lost on my way to the first bus station and sat at the wrong stop for longer than I'd like to admit, got on the wrong bus but luckily realized it before it took off, and after I finally made it to San Jose I couldn't get the translation right to find out what time the last bus departed for Cartago [Google Translator lies].

Whelp, I'm here writing about it so clearly I survived the trip.  Here are a few photos from San Jose.  I didn't take that many since I got caught in a storm and was rushing thru the city.

During my bus ride back to Cartago, I started to notice familiar landmarks and got off at a stop that put me closer to the home base than the bus station.  I decided to continue to try my luck and get a 2nd late night dinner from a restaurant that "looked" like it would have decent food. It was decent and I didn't get sick so that was a win for me.
