I visited the Irazu Volcano today and was able to capture what I've been told very few people are able to experience. Jose, the CCS Costa Rica program director visits the volcano frequently and hasn't seen what was visible today in 8 years. I can't describe the tranquility up there but try to imagine the air is completely still as the fog is clearing in the photos. Oh and I was standing inside a crater!
The scenery literally changes every second. When I arrived this view was completely covered by fog but eventually cleared for a few minutes and I was able to capture the photos above. This was my view when I initially arrived.
